Pinawa thus far

Well, it is day two of my time at the Manitoba Science Academy (that is, July 3rd). So far I have been given a theoretically oriented lecture by my undergraduate tutor and a scientific log book by one of my senior scientist supervisors, an associate professor. The other supervisor, a graduate student, briefly asked some questions related to the theoretical lecture and then left to carry out other work. Both my supervisors and tutors are from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology. I ought to stop here, as the rest might be confidential (it probably isn't, but rather safe than sorry).

In the evening I played some soccer and purchased some diet soda pop (which, contrary to popular opinion, is not poison) from the local grocery store. I also played some soccer with local residents of Pinawa while others had an interesting (to say the least!) game of red rover. I'm somewhat sorry that I missed that game, but soccer was enjoyable nonetheless.

Today, one of my peers at the Science Academy had a birthday. So happy birthday was sung throughout the day and cake was consumed at night.

This will be one of an unspecified number of blog posts by me from the MSA. I hope everyone else continues to have an spectacular time here.

Sincerely,

Dylon
